Anette Hogan

Founder and President

Anette Hogan graduated from the University of Hamburg, earning a M.S. Degree in Pharmacy.  She is a registered pharmacist in the European Union.  Her early responsibilities included the preparation of medium size batch pharmaceuticals and performance of in-house QA testing.

She has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including positions with Sterling Winthrop and Schering AG in Europe; and Allergan Inc. in the United States.

Anette has developed and executed successful global product launches in the United States, Europe, and major markets throughout Asia Pacific and Latin America. She has directed early stage drug development, worldwide market research and has developed and implemented global core campaigns and medical education programs.

Anette founded Global Marketing Perspectives, Inc. in 1998, growing the business from a one-person consulting company serving the pharmaceutical and biotech industries; to a full-service agency offering a broad range of strategic consulting, marketing/reimbursement communications, and medical education services targeting physicians, pharmacists, occupational and physical therapists, patients and patient advocacy groups.

Mary Ann Chapman, PhD

Director, Scientific Communications

Mary Ann Chapman is a scientific and medical communications writer with 12 years of professional experience developing and implementing strategic biomedical communications materials.

She has developed and written a wide variety of scientific, medical, and continuing medical education (CME)-accredited documents and slide sets in the areas of neurology, psychiatry, immunology, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, gastroenterology, and wound healing, as well as materials supporting new technology acquisition and product differentiation for both internal and external corporate uses. Clients have ranged from patient and advocacy organizations to small, biotech-oriented firms to big pharma.

Mary Ann earned a PhD in behavioral neuropharmacology from Washington State University in 1994. Over the next 5 years, she worked in basic neuropharmacologic research at St. Louis University School of Medicine and Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She then accepted a pharmaceutical company position in strategic biomedical communications and has continued as a freelance since 2001.

Eric Kim

Director, Technology & Operations

Eric Kim has over 20 years of marketing, database, information technology and operations experience.  He is a seasoned manager with a track record of successfully designing and developing technology, operations, productivity and business process solutions. Eric’s category experience includes the pharmaceutical, automotive, banking, airline, finance and technology industries.

Eric worked for 4 years in the Occupational Therapy division of St. Joseph’s Medical center, focusing primarily on the rehabilitation of stroke patients.

After graduating from college, Eric began his career in finance & banking. After a few years, he formed a business providing spatial analysis and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to the finance and banking industry. He sold that company in 1998 and transitioned to the technical side of marketing communications; overseeing database, technology and operations for major advertising and direct marketing agencies.

Eric first partnered with Global Marketing Perspectives on an individual project basis in 2010 and has since forming a formal strategic alliance to oversee technology and operations.

Michael W. Hogan

Director, Marketing & Strategy

Michael Hogan is a successful entrepreneur, innovator and accomplished career marketer; having held key senior-level executive management positions with prominent global advertising and marketing agencies: Rapp Collins Worldwide; Y&R Brands/Wunderman; Grey Advertising; and Phoenix Group Inc. (now Minacs Marketing Solutions).

Over the course of his career, Michael became an acknowledged leader in the development and implementation of integrated, technology-based retention, loyalty and acquisition strategies and tactics for major national and global accounts.  He developed one of the first direct response dealer locator systems; was the first to use electronic media in a direct mail effort;  developed the first Tier III dealer co-op direct marketing program; as well as the first automated system for managing a fleet vehicle repurchase program.

Michael has extensive expertise in one-to-one targeted communications that integrate multiple communications channels (physical mail, Internet, email, events & promotions, new media, etc.).  Over the past 10 years, he has played a key role in expanding Global Marketing Perspectives’ capabilities, services and category growth.  In his spare time, he writes, produces and directs award-winning films.

Carol Phillips

Graphic Designer and Art Director

Carol Phillips is an award-winning graphic designer and art director experienced in the pharmaceutical, biotech and automotive industries; as well as professional and college sports programs. She has served as art director and graphic designer for Global Marketing Perspectives since 2007, where she oversees design and production of all printed communications materials.

Other career highlights include design and implementation of vehicle launch materials for the original Toyota Prius; as well as web design, program identity, training kits, video graphics, complex signage, banners, badges, workbooks, and other learning tools for several other Toyota vehicles and live experiential events. Her role as art director for a Hyundai model line product information guide received a major design award.

In addition to her pharma and automotive work, Carol designed Women’s World Cup soccer promotional and collateral materials including billboards, ads, brochures, identity package and signage. She also designed award-winning media guides for the University of Southern California sports information department; and completed project work for the Los Angeles Avengers arena football club as art director of photography and design.

Carol earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UCSD and trained in the UCLA motion picture and theater arts master’s program.
